STEMsteps is located in the basement of the Cross Roads Presbyterian Church, off of 910, in Gibsonia, PA. STEMsteps has a separate entrance and has a secured keypad entry for security of students, teachers, and staff.
STEMsteps is a private preschool and kindergarten, licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, offering classes for children starting at 2 years 7 months old. The school day runs from 9am-3pm and parents can choose to enroll in preschool or pre-k 2-5 days per week. Kindergarten students must attend 5 days a week. STEMsteps is also licensed to provide childcare services before and after school from 6:30am-6:00pm, Monday through Friday.
STEMsteps follows a farm to school philosophy and provides a healthy lunch and snack to all students enrolled at no additional cost to parents. As a non-profit program, STEMsteps goal is to engage the community in activities to build strong relationships with parents and encourage students’ life-long love of learning.
STEMsteps looks forward to bringing our community new and exciting programs for everybody. One of our creative gifts to the community, Parents Night Out, offers all community members to have an opportunity to bring their child to STEMsteps on a Friday night for childcare services regardless of enrollment status.
STEMsteps' mission is to help children develop a life-long love for learning. The emphasis is on intellectual learning, unlike learning by repetition and memorization, STEMsteps' form of learning encourages students to make broader connections and develop critical thinking skills.
