Mission
STEMsteps' mission is to help children develop a life-long love for learning. STEMsteps encourages children’s development of critical thinking and problem solving skills through integrated STEM learning, where multifaceted experiences provide students with opportunities to participate in reasoning and problem solving along with engineering design throughout all content areas.
Goals
Our goal is to advance educational policies and practices to reflect 21st century learning, modernize the traditional school design to a more fluid approach, and meet the needs of all learners. We encourage competency based learning and content mastery through STEM integrated experiences. We:
- Encourage all students to think globally and solve complex problems as well as encourage social-emotional development and social justice awareness
- Engage community by providing monthly events
- Build quality educators through effective educational training programs and curriculum development
